The Project Proposal

Please attach a Project Proposal (3,500 words) with these section headings:

1. A clear detailed description of the Project, including particular outputs or products, any arguments and ideas the Project will put forth, and the need for the Project;
2. An explanation of how the Project builds on existing efforts or charts new terrain;
3. A description of the Project's expected impact and how you might measure it;
4. A detailed account of how you will achieve your goals, including a communications and/or outreach strategy. Please describe the specific audiences you hope to reach, your reasons for focusing on them, and how you intend to influence them;
5. The reasons you are especially suited to carry out this Project;
6. A description of how you expect the Project to fit into your career trajectory and future work;
7. A Project timeline;
8. An explanation of how you might engage with OSI while resident in our office(s). Please specify how these interactions could add value both to OSI and to your Project;
9. Estimated Fellowship Expenses in USD;
10. Any other relevant information.

Fellowship Expenses (Do not include living stipend.)

Fellowship Expenses can include travel & hotels, research assistance, conference fees, health insurance, etc. It should not include living stipend or operational and programmatic costs (e.g. employees or physical infrastructure). Fellowship Expenses may be part of the proposal document or attached as a separate document. Name the documents with your first name and last name, and the word "Proposal" (and "Expenses" if necessary). For example: JohnSmithProposal.doc, JohnSmithExpenses.xls

• TBD. Probably 3 or so conference trips in the US and one in Europe (to talk to Rick Falkvinge et al about some EU strategy matters in person). Health insurance if available.
