So the AUDIENCE encourages the CINEMA to send $ to the FILMAKER. That happened, everyone was happy. Except DISTRIBUTORS, who were left out of the picture entirely.
Most cinemas aren't prepared to do what Central Cinema did; plus 35mm film remains a wonder in all its physicality. So it's essential we have distributors too. As long as they're not enforcing monopolies, distributors provide an IMMENSE service to the film! I <3 Distributors!
