Where are they now, status-wise?  Lots of infrastructure work right
now.  Next big release in late August / early September, should have
stereoscopic capture and some more export options (especially OCR and
PDF generation).  "Useable beta" around end of fall, maybe.

With Decapod, they don't recommend using any of the camera's built-in
zoom functionality, because the font scaling will be off between the
two pages.

It's all based on Ubuntu.  Whups.
